Fox Rose - Petoskey
Fox Rose
Description
Fox Rose restaurant offers a mixed dining experience that draws guests with its farm-to-table concept and inviting ambiance. While some patrons appreciate the excellent service and flavorful dishes—such as the highly praised forest floor soup—many others express dissatisfaction with the inconsistent quality of food and poorly trained staff. Reports of lukewarm appetizers, bland entrees, and long delays in service highlight operational shortcomings that hinder an otherwise enjoyable outing. Despite commendable efforts from individual servers and a welcoming atmosphere, persistent service issues may deter repeat visits in a competitive dining landscape. Overall, potential diners should weigh these factors before booking a table.

This was not our first time at this restaurant. our meals were very good (there was 6 of us) except that there was basically no desserts available. only one choice plus some sorbet. on a saturday night? seemed strange. also, the service was terrible. my husbands drink was wrong and our server could have cared less. offered to bring more limes, not get him the correct thing. service was slow even though the restaurant was only one third full. if we go again, i will ask for a different server. front of the house needs work.
We have the restaurant yet a try after a bad experience last year. the mushroom soup was too salty, the pasta was tasteless and overcooked, the old one that she was using on the grilled porridge rancid. only venerable.
With some friends after fox and rose for a late dinner after petoskey at the weekend. both eating and service were excellent.
After having a negative experience last year, we decided to give this restaurant another chance. Unfortunately, the mushroom soup was overly salty, the pasta lacked flavor and was overcooked, and the marinade on the grilled pork chop tasted rancid. It was just terrible.
