SERVICE WAS VERY POOR. WAITER SEEMED POORLY TRAINED; HAD TO COME BACK SEVERAL TIMES ON DRINK ORDERS AND STILL DIDN'T GET ORDERS RIGHT. ONE MEAL WAS NEVER EVEN ENTERED ON COMPUTER SO THAT PERSON'S MEAL WAS NOT MADE. MANAGER AND WAITER TRIED TO ACCOMODATE US AND WERE VERY PLEASANT, BUT THERE IS TOO MUCH RESTAURANT COMPETITION TO MAKE THESE BASIC MISTAKES. After having a negative experience last year, we decided to give this restaurant another chance. Unfortunately, the mushroom soup was overly salty, the pasta lacked flavor and was overcooked, and the marinade on the grilled pork chop tasted rancid. It was just terrible.
I went with some friends to Fox and Rose for a late dinner after driving up to Petoskey for the weekend. We all enjoyed the excellent food and service.
We were seated at the bar and our server was fantastic. We ordered the chicken wrap and arancini, both dishes were delicious. We always have a great time coming here.

We have the restaurant yet a try after a bad experience last year. the mushroom soup was too salty, the pasta was tasteless and overcooked, the old one that she was using on the grilled porridge rancid. only venerable.
