The Country Store - Petersham

This store is chock full of products made by local residents. Anywhere from knickknacks to food items and more. They do serve food restaurant style, with a dining room out back, as well as food to go. Bye the way, the food is absolutely fantastic. I recommend their fresh chicken breast sandwiches...

Relaxing atmosphere, charming countryside and delicious deli food. also, quality were local and were for sale.

Update since my last review. reduced from 5 to 3 stars. the loading staff is not as friendly as before. I found the number of custom baked goods and handicrafts reduced. outside the load there is a classic new england village wit white pavillon and benches to enjoy the fresh air. fabulous in autumn with the holiday season. recommend them for people who are not in the hurry and want to relax and enjoy the time spent in this picturesque place.

Decided to stop after a few years because the last time the old man in the register was grumpy and rude. today stopped for some baked and low and see them the same ggrimy-dest in register. worse is that I think he is one of the owners (yes go to mimis coffee house, rose32, or birkenbaum brot co instead! they are grateful and happy to see customers.

We always stop here when we anywhere near. Very quaint if you stay and eat.
