Shtandart - Petergof

We had 0 expectations for this place (I mean what can one expect from the only restaurant in the touristic spot? and were very pleasantly surprised- the service was very good and the food was of a great quality. Obviously slightly overpriced but yet not stupidly expensive, with great variety and good quality. Definitely a good option when you are around.

Such a surprise after seeing the bad ratings on Google! I have had a Borscht soup and a very delicious Chicken Chicken of tobacco , which was very tender inside, crispy and flavourful on the outside, with rosmary potatoes and Salsa. The service was fast and well-organized. Definitely recommended!

For a quieter lunch spot in Peterhof, this is not bad and the alfresco tables here are also non-smoking. The salads, soups and desserts fared better than the mains though.

The idea of a buffet is great and I was totally grateful to finally eat after a whole day walking around the park, but somehow the quality of the food doesn't swipe off your feet... The fish was amazing but the French fries were a bit soggy and pickles didn't really taste like pickles. I guess some problems can be ascribed to the very idea of a buffet and food just lying around all day. But the dessert was nice : My biggest complaint is about the price. You can get a nice buffet food in Marketplace in the centre for much less money.

I have no idea why this isn't the highest rated restaurant in all of Saint Peteesburg area. I should review more often, and especially for exceptional experiences. That being said this place demanded a review, absolutely the besr meal of my life. The service the quality the atmosphere nothing is missing.
