Roundhouse Motel - Restaurant

Outstanding service, clean rooms, food fantastic large servings won't go hungry that's for sure. Too full for sweets but staff were happy to do room service.

My husband and I were staying at the motel and the weather was bitter so it made sense to cross the car park and have dinner in the restaurant. The room is dated, but that adds to the charm. Everything was clean and tidy. There was an ok wine list but the meals stole the show. Large portions and good hearty food. We started with oysters kilpatrick - yum and then the steak and flathead. An unexpected treasure.

We had some Chinese visitor to do with work and went there food unbelievable they cater for every ones needs, service and follow up service was great

Kai opened early for us last evening so we had time for dinner before the sound and light showOur service for the evening was Supreet and she was brilliantOur entree of cob filled with cheese beetroot and sweet chilli sauce was crisp and totally enjoyableMy Lamb shank was in a sensational red juss and the vegetables were steamy hot and variedMy partners chicken was coated in a lovely light textured crumb and her vegetables were as good as mineI do not know why we had desert because we had such a lovely evening but the chocolate mud cake was to die forWe look forward to returning soon with our vintage and classic car clubWell done to all concerned last evening

My wife and I enjoyed dinner at the Roundhouse Motel Restaurant on two consecutive nights during our recent stay. Both our meals on both nights were excellent! The printed menu is not extensive, but does offer a reasonable range of entrees, main courses and deserts. A specials board supplements the menu.For a restaurant within a country motel, the Roundhouse punches well above its weight. The ingredients were fresh and of great quality. The chef's preparation was 100%, perfectly prepared and cooked, with some unexpected stylish extras such as exquisite vegetable 'roses'. Our meals were definitely on par with what would be served at a quality big-city restaurant.A well chosen wine list, with modest prices for a range of good quality wines and other beverages.The restaurant is comfortable and spacious, pleasant and tastefully decorated. Excellent front of house service ... the management and staff were all friendly, polite and attentive.The Roundhouse Motel Restaurant would hold its head high if it were located in the city ... however, given its country town location, it is an absolute gem!
