The Halcyon Hungry Horse - Peterborough

The whole day worked and tired and hungry wait 45 minutes for pub life was not up. eating here in the rule for years is in order and my going into the pub, but food order was terrible meat burned, steak was rare, drinks were delayed and. to other international orders. ques were long and the employees themselves said they were two employees short. will not eat here again.

I don't know what is happening with this restaurant. The interiors are dirty, glasses are not clean, there is lipstick on some of them, and there are dead plants and trash everywhere. The fencing is broken, and adults were playing football right next to where people were sitting outside in the sunshine. We had to grab our own drinks because the service was terrible and we waited 10-15 minutes without any help. This used to be our local spot, but it needs a major renovation. It seems like things have gone downhill since the management change. We will be going somewhere else next time.

I dined at this restaurant a few years ago and decided to give it another try recently for a Sunday roast. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with my meal. The Yorkshire puddings were burnt and when offered a replacement, I declined. The vegetables were frozen and cold. The overall experience was lackluster and the meal did not meet my expectations. I would not recommend dining here again as the standards have clearly declined.

I am at a loss for words. My husband and I used to frequent this restaurant, but we haven't been back recently due to health issues. What has happened here? The staff is rude, lazy, slow, and simply unprofessional. It is clear that the new manager is not setting a good example for the employees. Wearing jeans and a hoodie, looking miserable and purposely ignoring customers because they don't feel like working. It's no wonder there aren't many customers here. I ordered two meals and had to change my order three times because of storage issues. When my food finally arrived, the fries were cold and my onion rings were missing. No one bothered to check on me or offer to fix the mistakes. The prices may be reasonable, but if the food is subpar, the service is unfriendly, and the staff is unprofessional, what's the point? It's a shame, as this place used to be beautiful.

Came here a while ago and had a really lovely evening and lovely meal with the other half, even stayed for the quiz which was on and had a really enjoyable evening. Thank you.
