during lockdown I went to the breakfast area. the service was great, very friendly staff. wish I had kept her name to put on here. food is very cheap for what it is and they also allow kids to eat free if you spend literally £1. great service to community. View all feedback.
What Karen W doesn't like about Asda:
I visited for lunch, but I found that most of the food had been removed from the menu. The restrooms were absolutely disgusting and filthy. I needed baby changing facilities, but had to go back downstairs to find them. When we finally located the changing area, it was in an awful condition; all the diaper bins were overflowing and it smelled terrible. We visited the Asda Peterborough Superstore a few times as we needed to buy a few things. The shop itself is massive and has two large entrances and there is a good range of food and drinks here. I do think that it's a little on the tired side and it feels like it is stuck in time and could do with a lick of paint. The staff are lively and they have both manned checkouts as well as self-checkouts. There was one time I came here to buy gin and I accidentally dropped the glass bottle and it caused a spill but the staff were quick to fix the situation and I was able to get a new bottle quickly. Their customer service is great here and I would recommend it if you're in the area.
11 months ago I gave 1 star but went to Asda on Friday and completely changed my opinion. Found staff very helpful and with a good attitude towards customers. This time I am giving a 5 star review ..... Keep it like that Asda..
I'm not sure what happened to my last review of Asda, but here's an update. I visited yesterday, and the stock inside was fine. However, the location and atmosphere are quite off-putting. There's always a lot of litter blowing around, and I often see people begging as you enter. When I left, someone in the alley was kicking a wall and got uncomfortably close to me while asking for cigarettes. I never feel safe in this area; I just rush in and out to grab what I need without speaking to anyone. The store's security should patrol the outside grounds more frequently and involve the police to improve the shopping experience. I've also noticed broken bike locks outside—someone I know had their electric bike stolen. I've used the café a few times; it's okay but quite basic. The last time I visited, the men's restroom on the upper floor was out of order. The prices are cheap, but I would only shop here if there were no other options available.

I am very disappointed. Asda George was supposed to close at 8 PM, but when I arrived at 7:40 PM, all the doors were locked. They missed out on sales until closing time. It seems like they may have wanted to leave early, but as someone who has worked in retail, I know that stores should adhere to their posted hours. It feels unfair to close up early just to avoid working later. There was no customer service, and I regret making the trip, especially considering the wasted time and fuel costs.
