One of the better sushi fast food chain eateries with a good ala carte selection both on the kaiten belt and menu. The choices on the kaiten is Menu selection is electronically ordered from the e-tablets on each table. Place gets a little crowded during peak lunch time and public holidays, so come early! What Queenie L doesn't like about Sakae Sushi Sunway Pyramid:
It’s been awhile I didn’t step in Sakae Sushi. Because many years back already feel their quality drop. Today came back and thought give it a try as craving for Sushi. However, it is still very disappointed because of their food quality. It’s real bad, the salmon sashimi it’s not fresh. The miso soup is so warm, the Ika also didn’t taste as how it should be. The soft shell crab was cold and it took ages for it to come out, which indicates that it wasn’t cooked fresh. My friend saw someone in the kitchen with gloves had their hands under their armpit and then scratching their arm to then proceeding to rolling the sushi. I’m concerned that the cross contamination will actually get us sick after seeing that.
I don’t know why I gave SAKAE Sushi a chance. They’re extremely overpriced and the quality of food is subpar. Genki Sushi is just further down and worth the price. I walked in here after a convention and was honestly just hungry lol. The Hana Maki photographed below was RM20 . Not worth it!

The rice of sushi is so bad. It’s pricy with low food quality. The design of the table it is not friendly either, the pad is not beside the table but behind. Customer need to turn back and order the food which is superb not convenient for customer. Services provided here also just so so. Will never back to Sakae.
Limited seat available due to certain sections closed. Also some dishes not avaliable from the menu. Food quality also drop.
Nothing special. Bit pricey for what you get. Service is hit miss. Quite packed during weekends they are only half open. Hence limited seats. Average cleanliness. I like that their tea is genmacha. Unlimited refills. We tried 2 ramens. Kimchi teriyaki chicken was decent while the yakiniku one was rather bland. Salmon sashimi didn't seem fresh. Sushis we tried were average at best. Overall an okay meal but doubt I'll return.
