What Jane Sia dislikes about My Real Cafe:
we tried the black pfeffer udon and the black pfeffer mushrooms. yes, I love black pfeffer (in all honesty, from any reason I did not notice that both were judicious. must have been really hungry). the Udon court was okay, but nothing exciting. flavoring was really strong, maybe a bit too much as it was challenging to try all the ingredients. the mushroom dish was surprisingly fleshy. I'm not used to eating mushrooms... View all feedback.

Ordered via food panda..... Food was really delicious. The fried rice had veg and tofu. Most other veg restaurant fried rice are usually plain and tasteless..... But the rice and noodles had mushroom, veg and tofu. Totally recommended
Really love the taste of the cooking here. Old place but food is amazing. Must trys lui cha and monkey head mushroom
Strategically located. Ordered their set lunch (with drink), sambal petai beehon (perfect if they give more petai and sambal at the side), Cantonese yee mee (cannot go wrong), rojak (good) and marmite mushroom (great if it is more crunchy). With that price and service, cannot complaint much. Returned again to try their petai burger and kam heong rice (with egg), both are great and my personal favourite.
The food satisfying carnivorous friends with affordable price, good environment and good quantity and quality. The Loh Mee worth a good try Miso Udon Noodle Soup is attractive Pineapple Fried Rice is taste good Tom Yum Noodle Soup is rich with spices and tastes above average! Recommended to served your friend here if you are looking for vegetarian options.

We tried black pepper Udon and black pepper mushrooms. Yes, I love black pepper (in all honesty, for some reason I didn't notice both dishes were silly... must have been really hungry). The Udon court was okay, but nothing exciting. Flavoring was really strong, maybe a bit too much as it was challenging to taste all the ingredients. The mushroom dish was surprisingly fleshy. I'm not used to eating mushrooms in a fleshy way, so it was quite disturbing. But not unpleasant, especially if you are looking for such a texture and taste. The taste was as strong as the Udon bowl, but I found that in this case, it was still ok.
I ordered Nasi Lemak who comes back with vegan mutton. I thought they were first served with mock meat and I was taken back when I realized that they only use mushrooms. The texture was chewing like Mutton. I was also curious and confirmed with teh waitress if it really is Mutton. HAHAHHAAH in a vegetarian restaurant. LMAO, thank God the waitress has patience and she answered my questions politely. To date, one of the best vegan Mutton races I've tried. #Veganuary
The food here was great. I have many options. I am glad that they also offer paper straws!
Food here was great. Got lots of options .I’m happy they also offer paper straws!
[Update 19/4/2019: I noticed the last few times I went that they 've switched to paper straws which is awesome. But as consumers we should avoid any disposable item for the health of our planet. The food has been consistently good and the service is friendly. Upgrading my rating to five stars as I really like this place. Went here twice and enjoyed both experiences. My Real Café closed down for a time and reopened in a bigger space on the block or shops facing Jalan Barat. They have quite an extensive menu (many of them containing egg but many of these can be veganised by requesting that no eggs or dairy be used. The pan mee is a nice vegan dish with wheat noodles, sliced mushrooms, mock anchovies and yin choy (amaranth greens in a flight, flavourful broth. It 's a generous serving and makes a satisfying meal. Other tasty dishes include the koay teow in seaweed soup, wantan mee with 'mutton ' curry and fried tofu skin (double check to make sure eggs and dairy aren 't used and kung po style monkey head mushroom. I also had the stir fried kai lan which was as expected. All the portion sizes are quite generous so you get good value for your money. The space is very clean and comfortable, and the staff friendly and helpful. I noticed that they include straws with all cold drinks, even iced water/Chinese tea. Annoyingly, we got straws with our iced Chinese tea even though I requested no straws. Please strongly remind them not to provide straws! As we know, they are unnecessary and damaging to the environment and wild life. :

Has a good feel in the simple ambiance. MRC divided into cafe n dining, but one can also dine in Cafe section whilst having coffee. Straightforward food and enjoyed thoroughly on the rich taste of Pumpkin Noodles. Lived up to friendly service n quality food. Pizza was introduced recently... yet to try it. Good delectable food at a reasonable price. Updated from previous review on 2019-01-05
