Very nice location and very calm. 15-20 minutes away from Bordeaux It's like any other golf course you would know. However, I've noticed something everywhere in France, the price. I come from Ireland and I've noticed that golf isn't a very big sport in France. Maybe for the rich and retired. I often go to have a round of pitch and putt, for fun. In Ireland it would be between 6 and 7 euros for an 18 hole P&P. However... View all feedback.
However here, it's 20€ per person for 9 hole P&P (compressed 9 hole) Now I'm not criticising this particular golf course, but if in France, be prepared to pay a lot of money for golf.
We start with the key: the golf course. it is not very challenging if they are long and decent straight. they will remove a bit too much from the line and they will regret it immediately, there are water, bunker, rams, ub or wood on many holes. the condition was very good, greens true and very well maintained, with BIG vaccinations. then the training facilities. a large body of water with bojen at different distances and floating balls (they sound a bit strange, but feel completely normal otherwise. it would be bad to kill someone on the other side, not the balls are decent, there are matte in good condition and areas where they hit the grass. around this, a series of practice greens or at least), quite similar in the speed to the green of the price that they can use for brushing, chipping and also longer pitching. all this is often quite busy. the clubhouse offers a decent bar and a restaurant where eating is really very acceptable for a golf restaurant. To be honest, I was very pleasantly surprised and found the food and service on the level of a non-shambing normal restaurants. overall an interesting golf destination that offers more than what the price might suggest it!
