Good home made meals were the locals eat. No frills ,very basic, good selection. Ate here on 3 occasions, had three courses, soup, main meal and sweet, plus a jug of wine. Price €7. You may also get a glass of Port incl. The food is cooked on an open fire by the proprietors wife? There is a good selection from a menu. The locals come in and out just to chat and sit. Friendly place.

Beautifully cooked and seasoned portugues cousine... Very typical dishes like granny would make It... Schedule ahead for the seafood bean stew (Feijoada de marisco)... Huum

When I review I take everything into account, bang for the buck, quality of the food, and the circus. Have we had better food, yes, but all in all this was a special evening. This place was the most fun we've had in a restaurant since we've been in Portugal. We found a small locals place in Regua that welcomed us warmly and brought us into their family. We had appetizers, several varieties, grilled grouper, wine, home made port, desert, espresso and the bill was only 28 euros. Most tourists probably wouldn't go in but we are glad we did. Big time fun.
