Had a very enjoyable Sunday lunch at this friendly, rustic local restaurant. There is no menu just local and delicious food freshly cooked for you . The family ensure that your visit feels like you are eating at their own table. The ravioli with truffle and pasta with wild boar sauce are absolutely delicious. Very reasonably priced. Well worth a visit if you are in the area. View all feedback.
What Giancarlo Ferrari doesn't like about Da Franco E Amalia:
I was the first time very good, x the unsatisfied time, I asked with the reservation the loaf with beans and cotics, the bread was cold and cooked and cold beans., I'm sorry but I'm not going back. View all feedback.
We were here by chance and we were satisfied with it, my wife and I, around these beautiful areas. we ate well, outdoors, great welcome and tranquility. recommended.
We have been to Abruzzo three times since 2015 and always make the journey to this wonderful mountain restaurant regardless of how far out of the way it is. The family who run the place showed us such kindness on our first visit that seeing them again is like a reunion. The menu is pretty much unchanged each time we come, which is fine for us, because our visits are separated by years of nostalgic longing to taste the dishes again. The bountiful antipasti are wonderful with local meats and cheeses drizzled with honey. This time, we ordered the famous wild boar with pappardelle and a new dish for us, tiny gnocchi with asparagus sauce. We couldn’t really identify any asparagus in the dish, and it wasn’t the right season for it, but it was delicious, nevertheless. Halfway through the meal, we were too full to finish. Our hosts kindly wrapped up the leftovers to take away and we enjoyed them the following night, a great distance from Pescosansonesco. We now follow this restaurant on Facebook and it goes through remarkable changes throughout the year, hosting weddings, parties, and celebrations, with the tables and spaced arranged for optimum enjoyment. Depending upon when you come, you might be the only people there, or you might share the dining room as we did with a group of travelling horse cart drivers whose horses are tied to the railings outside, or you might even find yourself part of a mid-winter festival with live music and costumed saints and devils chasing in one door and out another. Whenever you come, you are certain to have wonderful food and hospitality.

What not to like? No menu, you eat what Amalia cooks , and you do not question. And she does cook! Go. You will be back for more!
We pitched up late on Easter Monday no reservation and the place was busy but they still managed to feed us. Specializes in the local arrosticini lamb skewers to you. Very good and very fresh.
