Great experience with local dishes. Friendly service. The manager has a cool sense of humor. The starter « Torta » based on tomatoes was extremely good! The selection of local cold meat cuts was also excellent and really too much for me as a starter. The meat was really superb. We had tagliata do mango and controfiletto. Perfectly done to our liking. We had no more room for desert, although it looked very tempting. View all feedback.
What sanyas531 doesn't like about Agriturismo Sapori In Cantina:
Menu wasn't explained by the waiter even we did ask,a bottle of wine just put onto the table, we were served by starters and main dishes and then literally ignored the rest of the dinner.. Starters were very good, tagliata was excellent, pasta with duck and pasta with meat sauce were too salty, hamburger without bread, my grilled sausages with polenta eatable but far from expected, desserts weren't offered as waiter... Kindness, availability, nice location, wonderful food and excellent prices. Anything else? great wines. Go to us.
I've just been here with my friends. we took the Iberian pork cut and the selection of beef meat. the tender Iberian pork melted in the mouth really delicious selection of beef meat also the excellent one. Perfect Florentine crushed with blood on the side. great goto and tender. wine of the farm really good accompanied perfectly to the meat. It's just a little fast. a very honest account.
This restaurant was recommended to us by the hotel we stayed at. Very traditional food. Not brilliant at accommodating the children and only wine and water on sale
Saturday evening in June. overall 9/10. fully recommended. atmosphere 10/10: soft classical music in the background, relaxing, adding a note of elegance. personnel 10/10: warm welcoming, polite, available for suggestions about the courses and their amount to get best match and avoid excess. wine 10/10: La Berra 1912 Fraccaroli, excellent Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. salami 8/10: light, really good, but I didn't find them that special. meat 9/10: tasty, perfectly cooked. vegetables 10/10: tasty and delicious, perfectly cooked, right amount of condiments. desserts 8/10: delicious, but a bit costy from my point of view. price 10/10: roughly 40€ per person, for a high-quality full meal, exactly what I expected.
Have visited the Cantina for dinner. Online they mention a reservation is needed 24h in advance. I called them 30min before i arrived and I was happy to see that there was no issue (perhaps in the summer time things could be a bit more difficult). Have tried a primo (pasta with duck ragu), secondo (beef tagliata) and dessert (tiramisu) as well as 2 of wines (their production). All of them had simple but genuine taste, which is what i was looking for in a countryside cantina. Maurizio and the team were kind and provided good service. However, as all things in the countryside, you need to be ready to simply relax and let everything operate on their own pace... Would visit again.
