It depends on time and who is serving. We had booked a diner on 31 12. The lady (who speaks English was very helpful. We could make a choice for a la carte but we decided that we go along with the menu which all other guest where offered. Not a bad choice, but local food (which I love, because off all the summers I have spend here . But the others who should help where not as helpful a bottle off white wine on the ta... We ate two evening meals here, and they were both fantastic. This is a family owned and run B&B and restaurant. There is a table reserved in front for the family, multi generational. It is awesome, everyone is very friendly. I felt like I was home. The grandmother still prepares food delicious, homemade tomato sauce for the pasta. Everything was great the seafood superb, caught that day. You cannot beat this for a real, authentic experience.
We stayed in the hotel and had 3 very good evenings dining at this restaurant. The whole family enjoyed everything that we ordered. Plenty of choice but not so much as to affect the quality. The fish was very fresh and all the ingredients were of a high standard and all very freshly cooked. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a very high quality family run restaurant. Also much better value compared to some of the other restaurants here.
The reviews on TripAdvisor seem to largely refer to the Pizzeria. We ate at the Ristorante. Not much is open in Peschici in early February. When we walked by this hotel and restaurant, it appeared to be open. We walked in to a room of empty tables. Maria, the friendly owner, soon greeted us and assured us that the restaurant was open. Not all of the dishes listed on the menu were available but Maria made us a terrific lunch including some pasta with cannelloni beans she was making for her family. Two hours later we left having had a very relaxing lunch and making a new friend we hope to see in San Francisco one day.
This restaurant is located near the castle, the dishes are good, perhaps missing that touch of originality even in proposing them.
Nice place, good food, mixed appetizer of fish appreciable, only sin the service, slow, unprofessional and little careful, sin!
