I had a light dinner just some Jamon iberico (spanish ham) and a glass of wine and ended up paying as if I had eaten a three course meal! The service is really good as well as the food but it is a boutique place, so you pay also for small details. The menu is really varied there is a huge selection of hams and finger food. Just had lunch here. The food is OK but a bit blend. It looks well but the taste isnt great. Salt, garlic, herbs are missing and we believe the cook is working on routine, not tasting his food anymore. There is a lot of staff but serving the food is a bit messy: too early, before the current course is finished, order put at the wrong customer, forgetting cutlery, serving the wine too cold, food creeping out of the pl... Turning to fish and if you do not have much recommended time you could define an Italian brasseri tastes sought after of high quality. the really nice thing is that you can buy what to eat good value for money I will come back
You come to this place to eat, very well, and to buy excellent products of first quality. the wine cellar with national and international labels.
We were lost tourist wandering down a side alley when we discovered this little place. The choices of wines were excellent (prices went form 10.00 to about 250.00). The had a range of cured meats (and some fish and vegetarian stuff which we ignored). We ended up with a mixed platter of pecorino, salami and Iberico jamon. The wines we had were 20.00 The service was very good too. A lovely starter before we went for our mains.
Cicchelli is a delicatessen that is also a restaurant. Simple food but very high quality ingredients good ham, good cheeses. Don't expect food of this quality to be cheap it shouldn't be. But neither is the place too expensive. Pleasant service. So if looking for a different and informal type of meal then very highly recommended.
Always a great and wonderful surprise... The pasta al Tartufo, simply and marvelous. The coffee, no words to describe...
