Porca Vacca - PERUGIA

I arrived in Perugia on a Sunday evening and this was the only place I could find that was open. When I arrived at 19:10 there was a line almost out the door with only one person taking orders. I ordered what I thought was a hamburger with fries, but when I picked up my order there was only a hamburger, no bun (a hard roll did accompany my meat patty, though). As a non Italian speaker, I obviously made a mistake with my order. Seeing how crowded the place was, I decided to eat my meal and not have to go through the ordering process again. Meat patty was pretty decent, although a bit salty. Fries were dry, but edible. Place was very noisy as there was a children’s party going on.

For a fast food place, the food is really great. The place is open daily, so when you're there on holiday and are a bit lost for where to go to eat dinner it is really a godsend! Although it is very busy, service is fast and place is big enough so it is not too loud/noisy.

Let 's start by saying that the food is OK. I had a 'insolita di ungus ', clearly not angus beef, but nice and tender nevertheless. My friend had a roast chicken, which was overly salty and I wouldn 't have eaten all of it. The fact though that I had to eat the meat from a PAPER plate (that disintegrated while cutting the meat) was part of the reason the place gets just 2 stars from me. Overall the food I not cheap enough to justify the fast food experience. I spent €14 on my steak; the same I would anywhere else, but I had to eat it from cardboard in a dark, underlit locale. Will not return.

Iv been here with friends and kids. Burgers are delicious. Good place for dinner. Be shure to check it out!
