I had the most tender gyros wrap. It was the best in the area! My hubby had the giant, terrific pork tenderloin. Their appetizers are outstanding! We got the bacon wrapped shrimp, garlic mozzarella puffs, and the bacon wrapped cheese curds which I liked the best! I also come here for tacos Tuesday to get the best tacos in the area! What Erich Delk doesn't like about Flo's On Pulaski:
I ordered the fried pickles and a bluegill comb. The fried pickles are not cooked all the way floppy and soggy. They were taken straight out of the fryer and put right into the Styrofoam container without letting them drain. The container is almost falling apart on the bottom. This is a very warm and inviting neighborhood bar atmosphere. We had the pork tenderloin sandwich and the bourbon burger and both were cooked to perfection. Very generous portions with french fries. You will not leave hungry we will be back.
Food was excellent as always. Pork Tenderloins were big!! We should have split one. Thursday night special: only $6.00. Flo's is an Illinois Valley Classic. You have to try it, you will love it.
If I could I would zero star but that is not possible. We waited almost an hour and a half for just our appetizers, which were simple enough to make. Which then took another ten minutes to get our food, which was wrong and we had to send it back. When they come out two minutes later our tacos were hard and overcooked but also cold, our chicken was overcooked. The whole time we were there we didn’t receive as much as a sorry, or any mention of the time it took to receive our service. Something to keep in mind the waiter said the printers in the kitchen weren’t working so that’s why we received our order wrong, as the whole time we were hearing orders being printed. Very disappointing, and what’s even worse this isn’t the first time this happened. If your not a regular you won’t get anything near of good service, sadly.
