Overall a good lunch. Our order included a kids slider meal, a seasonal milkshake, an ourburger, and a salad. The wait was a little longer than we expected, but the food was worth the wait. Fries and tots were hot, salad was fresh, and the burgers were cooked just right. The manager did check in at our table, which was appreciated. Based on experience today, I would recommend and will return. View all feedback.
What Jeff M Delgado doesn't like about Wahlburgers:
Our experience was pretty underwhelming here. We wanted to try the impossible burger, but they were all out. So I went with the Thanksgiving turkey burger and my husband got the Our Burger. I?ve never seen a burger patty as absurdly tiny as the one I got. (For reference, the bun in the attached photo is a normal sized burger bun. And unfortunately the sandwich didn?t taste great. I'm torn about my experience here last night as we had a mixed experience here. Overall my concern is will this sustain in the Illinois Valley? By sustain, I mean through their price point on Wahlburger's menu items. As seen by the counter, they are still working on getting the monitors installed to show the menu but for now, you can order off a paper menu. We both did the Our Burger with fries along with Onion Rings to start. So the onions rings were less thanflattering as not only where they thin and greasy but red onions were used. You can def pass on this app. Honestly it was the Our Burger and all you can drink fountain drinks that saved this review. The Our Burger is. 1/3 lb. burger, withlettuce, onion, tomato, cheese and Wahlburger sauce. This was really good and filling! So juicy and honestly the bread was simple but fresh. The fries were not that great as they seemed undercooked with little to no salt. I wish these weredeep fried for another 15-30 seconds. Another thing that was crazy was a Miller Lite 12oz. Bottle was $4.25!!!! Seriously!!???! This restaurant didn't work because people complained about the cost of the regular menu items and cost of theSunday Buffet so will the Wahlburger name draw customers? Time will tell.
My wife and I decided to have a late Sunday lunch/dinner combined at Wahlburgers that is located within the Peru, Illinois HiVee. The girl who took our order was very pleasant and helpful. As this was our first visit, she made sure we understood everything on the menu. We were provided our drink cups, (real) silverware, and an order number card to be placed on our table. All uneventful. THe food was delivered and noted to be very good. Simple basic burgers for bothor us, including their standard side options of onion rings and sweet potato tots. So...in review, we had two cheeseburgers, two sides and two fountain soft drinks. The total cost exceeded $28. We could visit any of the optional fastfood burger businesses around us and get a much more reasonable price. Will this affect our decision to return? Highly likely.

My husband?s burger was also pretty bland. They were about $13-$15 each which felt expensivefor what we received. On the up side, the fries, tots, and chocolate milkshake were pretty decent. Overall it was definitely not worth it. Maybe they?re just having some issues since they opened pretty recently? We?ll try to give them thebenefit of the doubt. But I don?t think we?ll be back again for quite a while.
Very poor service and communication so we ended up walking out and went across the street to Culvers and got great service. Long story short the wife and I promised ourselves to try Wahlbergers and we finally did today at 12:30,,place pretty empty so I 'm thinking good timing. We seat ourselves like the sign says, then take a picture of their menu QR code (like the sign says) and nothing. Repeated with wife 's phone and nothing again. I watch staff members walk back andforth from the Bar so I get up and find a stack of menu 's at a waitress station and bring two back to my now hungry wife. After a bit no one comes to our table so I walk over to the Bar and learn I have to order food outside Wahlbergersinside the HyVee store at the counter by the Deli. Now remember the place is basically empty and this adventure began about 15 minutes prior. I approach the counter to finally order and the first thing the young gal says to me is it 'll beabout 20 minutes or more before you get your food . At that point I 've had enough and went inside informing my wife who agreed we should have gone to Culver 's from the beginning,,,,and that 's what we did. And we 're going to Culver 's nextweek when we go shopping again at HyVee as well,,,,,
