In Peru, Illinois. Great tenderloins and fries. Unpretentious place. Try to go there a few times a year. Used to live near LaSalle-Peru and went there a lot more often. View all feedback.
What Nicole Dixon doesn't like about Igloo Diner:
This place has been around a long time and you can tell. It's very dated yet nostalgic for sure. I've eaten here maybe a handful of times and it was usually very good. The last time was not so good. The food was so much greasier than before and the quality was affected. It changed the way everything tasted. I'll probably try again one day in case it was just a very off day. View all feedback.
This was my first visit here. The food was great I loved the old dinner decor
Illinois Valley institution. Vegetarian options: Not lots of vegetarian options
Called at 740pm not realizing they close at 8pm as I haven't been to this place in a few years. The girl said can you be here before 8pm I said yes it's simple I just want a cherry papaya shake and was told they were out of shakes I stated how you out of shakes it's ice cream. I hung up and called with a blocked number and asked foe a rootbeer float to go that's it and was told no problem just be here before 8pm. I HATE HATE HATE being lied to because you are to LAZY to do your job. No difference between a shake or root beer float when the main ingredient is ice cream. I guess this is why the business is for sale. DO NOT EAT HERE. HORRIBLE SERVICE AND LAZY EMPLOYEES.

Phenomenal food! Had the Cowboy Up burger. Fries are hand cut and very tasty. Absolutely come here if you’re in the area and wanting to stay away from a chain. Took a gallon of their house made root beer home too!
