Casual Japanese dining. Food is made fresh and is very tasty. Prices are awesome $12.30 for large plate of sushi (prawn, salmon, eel, egg, squid)etc, comes with miso soup. All other dishes are below $10. Free hot tea. Service is quick and with a smile. View all feedback.

Super quick service.Menu is great with clear descriptions and photos.Sushi had very limited filling in it.....It seemed to be just all rice.Ordered Teriyaki Chicken along with a noodle dish. Tasty and very filling bit not sure how long it had all been cooked for as it didn't taste super fresh. I guess that's why the service was super quick from ordering to bring delivered over the counter.Very reasonably priced. Will... View all feedback.
The food is ok and is quite cheap. It can get very busy and seating could be an issue. Worth a try all the same.
This place was a bit impersonal. It’s sit-down, but has the feeling of a fast food joint; I guess because of the volume of people going through. Assorted Sashimi was fine.
Been coming to Taka for over 12 years originally in the previous incarnation on Shafto Lane. Love the place. Cafe set up so don’t expect luxury but the dishes are great value. A relatively limited range of sashimi/sushi the usual squid, tuna, salmon, prawn, eel but good quality. Huge range of other dishes also. V good prices and lots of Japanese people eating there always a good sign at a Japanese restaurant.
I simply love this place. It’s so simple yet so so good. I love the food . Big big recommendation . On another note I am so amazed by how the staff always stay so calm focussed and friendly even when it’s super busy !! So inspiring
You can’t have good sushi for a cheap price so if you only want something cheap and filling, this is the place to go to. Everybody wanted to have sushi for dinner so we decided to go here. The service was super quick and it’s a lot of food for a low cost. All my Australian and European friends seem to really enjoy their food.
