So I decided to try this restaurant, a few weeks back. As been reading so much good reviews. I decided to rock up with no booking , we got there early say around 6pm or so and got a table. It's a small restaurant the lighting is quite dark and decor seems unique. Ordered the massaman beef curry dish, and was pretty let down with the serving a small little round plate $30 , but hey it's in cbd perth . It taste not too bad but seriously for $30 I expected more. The waitress appear to be new as they seem to take 3 or 4 trips, back and forth from my table to the kitchen to clear the table. I would probably not return given the tiny servings for such a high price.
Great setting and great service. All the front of staff had a smile on their faces!. However the food lacked the burst of fresh flavours thai food usually provides. We tried the Arancini balls with the green curry sauce. Unsure about that combo but they were great individually. The BBQ squid was slightly over cooked..the dipping sauce was spicy but no other flavour to it. And we had the cashew nut chicken.. at the risk of sounding like a broken record..lacked flavour..It wasn't terrible but wasn't amazing either.. The fish in banana leaf with Chefs sauce was an interesting concept and looked exciting however it didn't translate that in its flavour.
