When I was young (a long time ago!) this HJ's was certainly the place to visit in the Perth CBD. I'm talking about when most of Perth wasn't open on a Sunday, just a few fast food outlets (such as this) and the Hoyts cinema. The northern rail line was not built yet, and the Mitchell freeway stopped at Warwick. Maybe only twice a year you took a bus to the city to see a movie, along with visiting this Hungry Jacks as a treat for us children. In more modern times, it has just become another fast food outlet. To me it's older architecture brings back many great memories, although the food isn't any better or worse than any other Hungry Jacks it will always hold a special place in my heart. Rarely I rate a restaurants feel over its food or service, this one is definitely one of those exceptions.
The "chefs" were filthy. They were playing with their hair and more into teenage banter than cooking. That kind of made me sick to know that that hand went into preparing my burger. The floor and tables were dirty and the food wasn't great either. Avoidable.
Peri peri cheese burger anyone? Yes please. How fabulous. Look i know hungry jacks is idiotic for veering away from the global name of Burger King but the peri peri burgers is something they did right. As well as the delux milkshakes. Pretty yummy littlegirlbigfood.blogspot.com
