Was Daniela Thoben at Amano Restaurant a mag?
On our visit from Melbourne, my husband and i had dinner here after a river cruise on the swan river. Not only was the service fantastic, but the food was amazing! We both had the gnocchi pomodoro and they were beautiful. Soft, light and melted in your mouth. We both thought the portion sizes could be a bit more for the price you pay. But apart from that a beautiful restaurant on the water, with friendly service, rel... View all feedback.

What Sallie Mitchell dislikes about Amano Restaurant:
loved the bread and the house made butter, service was subpar as we came on a relatively quiet evening and still floor staff could've done better. had the seafood linguine, which i thought was just ok as most of the seafood was way overcooked and have hardened by the time i got to it. didn't mind it all until the owner decided to come over and blab about who he was what he had done on tv or something, really didn't l... Had the most wonderful dinner at Amano's. The food was beautiful to look at and delicious to eat. And it was such a pleasure to receive wonderful service including a story about wine from the owner love that! Of course it helped that I was in good company with friends. Highly recommend for a great meal right on the water that won't break the bank.

I had a great experience! Food is excellent and served with extreme passion from all the staff. New combinations of flavours that amased me and make me wanting to taste more and more of these specialties with finely selected wines. The menu offers a new concept of meal by bringing real Italian traditions to the table. The view is definitely a great plus to all of this! Enjoy!

Definitely a new gem in Perth! I had one of the most beautiful lunch in a long time! Started with an excellent octopus as entree and seafood fettuccine as main. OMG! You can really taste the love and passion for the food in both dishes! My friend had the market fish...A delicious baramundi pan fried with Australian Bush greens and squid ink... For sure a new concept of Italian cuisine that includes the classic Nonna rules and a touch of fresh and new delicious ideas! Love it love it love it! Ah, and last but not least, the location is just gorgeous! Best wishes guys!

We had an awesome time at Amano! Manuel was very kind, welcoming and passionate about the dining and sensory experience you can live at Amano. From the explaination of the restaurant's name, to the sourcing of quality raw ingredients, from the history of dishes to the selection and matching of flavours at the palate! We tried the signature entree dish Capesante mare e monti, which was delicious, to then move to our absolute favourite: Pappardelle with such a mouth watering sauce of slow cooked lamb and mashroom ragu...to a super tender kangaroo loin steak! A true mixture of traditional Italian flavours revisited from a modern Australian angle. All of this in a setting to die for: litterally less than two meters from the riverfront with the city skyline in the backdrop...ideal both in winter and summer. We will certainly come back!
