We had booked into one of the lodges at Blair Castle. We fancied a pint and took a wander down to the Atholl Arms Hotel. The Bothy Bar is a great bar with lots of atmosphere, a nice open fire and quick table service for... View all feedback.

Typical but really welcoming, clean and warm pub, we had a really great dinner with friends. Food was really good (Atholl double beef burger superbe, salad very tasty, maybe fries not the same level; my friend a great beef 'n 'Ale, would be my next choice). Special mention to the waiters: really supportive, funny, but they possess the right equilibrium not to be too much . A must-do for dinner when in Glasgow
Honestly dont want to write this. I have been coming here for 25 years and loved every meal. Bar this one. The prices are abysmal for what you get. Venison calibrese starter was a salad with two shavings of dyed ham. Steak pie was cold and got sent back twice. Dont reheat pie in a microwave mr chef man. Roast must of been trown off a wall. Insult to i injury it was served with one potato. Burger was like out of a fairground van. Hate to be a karen but we complained to just a sorry and nothing else. To top it off, visited the toilet to exit my vile meal and could only wipe with hand drying roll. Needed a pillow for the way home. I could genuinely write more but im too frustrated.
How fortunate for us to have chosen Blair Atholl to stopover between Inverness and Edinburgh! It was an unforgettably beautiful building to arrive at. Then the magnificent room assigned to us with a 4 poster bed and 2 person spa bath as well to overwhelm us. The dining room was simply beautiful so breakfast became a grand affair too. Game on offer on the menu for dinner was a rare and memorable treat. Thank you!
Was here for a function. Buying drinks from the bar was a nightmare. The barman told us that we needed to sit down at a table in order to be served, but we were sitting through the front in the function room....so how does that make sense? Nobody was allowed to stand at the bar, even to be served. We queried it with the barman later on as the bar tables were all filling up with diners, and he said, and I quote, we don 't value local custom as we get enough passing grade . A good way to lose customers. Hope that management have a word with their bar staff.
Called in for lunch. Went for ploughman's sharing platter. Hardly any cheese, only one variety. A portion of minced ham and very unexciting salad. Also a plate of not fresh sharing bread. Very poor value and we left very disappointed. This is not a reflection...
