Despite being caught in a storm and road closures, they were able to accommodate busloads of tourists who suddenly needed a place to stay at the last minute. The rooms were excellent - comfortable, clean, and we had a wonderful night's sleep. The breakfast the next morning was also fantastic.

There was a noticeable bow in the floor of the room, a... read more The hotel is situated in a fantastic location, however, the rooms and overall establishment are outdated. There was a noticeable bow in the floor of the room, around a two-inch dip, as shown in the attached pictures. The hotel is in need of maintenance. The majority of the staff are friendly and helpful. The mattresses are decent. On the bright side, the hotel room bathrooms have been recently renovated and are quite nice.

When I tried to check in and handed her my credit card, she informed me th... read more The only downside of my experience at this hotel was the extremely rude receptionist. When I tried to check in and handed her my credit card, she informed me that it was declined. This had never happened to me before, so I was understandably upset. I raised my voice a bit and used another credit card to check in. However, she then followed me to the elevator, which felt very intrusive. This made me uncomfortable and unhappy with the start of my stay. The rest of the stay was just average - the room was a bit outdated and the shower didn't work. Despite this, the breakfast was very good and the other staff members were very polite, which helped make up for the negative encounter with the receptionist.

The staff were gracious though you can see they were wo... read more Classical feeling hotel in the heart of a beautiful town. My partner and I felt welcomed on our arrival. The staff were gracious though you can see they were working hard. The room was clean with an amazing bed, and curtains that made the room black. There were a few small things wrong with the room. The wardrobe door was slightly damaged (still worked), though you could see that it needed a couple of screws. And the shower door did not close neatly. So I put it back on its runners. Just small things. We both had an amazing time, and spoke about finding a reason to come back. Thank you
