Howie's Bistro - Perth Kinross

The staff at this restaurant was a mixed bag - the older woman, who seemed to be the manager or owner, was very abrupt and unhelpful. It took a while for us to receive menus and her attitude left a lot to be desired. However, the younger girl who eventually took our order was lovely and the food was delicious. It was clear that the younger staff members were exceptional and perhaps had to make up for their boss, Julie. The older woman could benefit from some training or perhaps find a new job.

The service at this restaurant was slow and there was hair in the chutney. Additionally, the scone was initially served without clotted cream and marmalade. When the clotted cream was finally provided, it was not fresh and an extra charge was added. This was a first for me, as scone with clotted cream and marmalade is usually a classic combination that should not be charged separately. Despite the delicious sandwich (without hair), I would not return to this restaurant.

We unexpectedly found this restaurant while driving back from a family vacation and it was a delightful surprise. The food was excellent, the ambiance was nice, and the staff was friendly, making us want to come back again in the future.

Don't remember being here but I was on a pub crawl and had a good night so this place must have been ok.

On Saturday night (5/9/15), my husband, parents, and I went out for dinner and had an excellent experience. The service was outstanding and the food was absolutely perfect.
