What PHIL SIMON doesn't like about Dunkeld Fish:
The rooms are small but comfortable. Parking on the street is possible because the car park is small. The breakfast was good. Nearby activities include a walk to the Arboretum close to the river. Don't miss Shakespeare's Birnam oak across the river. There are plenty of nice cafes and restaurants in Dunkeld. Overall, the rooms are rated 3, service is rated 4, and location is rated 4. read moreNestled in a charming location, this chippy offers a range of experiences from delightful to disappointing. While some diners rave about the crispy fish and chips paired with excellent service, others lament recent declines in food quality and rudeness from staff. Frequent complaints highlight soggy batter, burnt chips, and lackluster customer service, which have marred the restaurant's reputation. However, many patrons still appreciate the inviting atmosphere and the warm welcome they receive, suggesting the establishment has the potential to reclaim its status. Overall, visitors may find it a gamble, balancing highs against notable lows.
