Popped in here yesterday with my wife, on a lovely warm day, after completing the Birks of Aberfeldy circular walk. The shop was very busy with families and adults all queuing up to purchase ice cream. A small shop which as well as selling ice cream, do coffees, and also have a selection of gifts. There is no indoor seating, but there is an outdoor table which has three chairs, if you are lucky enough to see it vacan... View all feedback.
What Tanya Watson doesn't like about Coffee And Cones:
Right in the centre of Aberfeldy with cars all around parking is usually available but not necessarily close. The best thing is the ice cream. For everything else there are many options near. View all feedback.
August (don't know when they moved) coffe and cones has moved to taymouth, but dows, only sold together by the co-op a limited series of the same arran eis.
Zero stars I'd I could... purely for the service. I would not go back there. Ok he was just opening up when of us arrived but other than saying in a moment to my question are you open yet he never spoke to us...to say anything... And took another minutes to fully set up and did not look any of is in the eye, smile or even say a word. Maybe he was annoyed at having to work at Easter! It felt like he didn't care if we were there at all or if we walked out. And then when I asked for a flake, he picked it up with his bare hands and shoved it in my ice cream. gross!!!! I asked for the rum and raisin ice cream (lacklustre) and cranachan (just vanilla with a bit of pink random fruit). Tasted ok but nothing special ... And for a crazy price of nealry for just two scoops..way too expensive. Even when I paid and said thankyou, there was not a glimmer of acknowledgement. It was as if I didn't exist. A man who hates his job and dislikes customers. I'd visited last summer with a large group of walkers and had a very pleasant experience when staff were polite pleasant and passed pleasantriws... but this staff chap put me off and I won't be recommending any of my walkers go there.
The ice-cream tasted fabulous. They also do bespoke meringues, along with other sweet treats. Definitely a place to stop and get your sugar fix.
I will start with the positive, the ice cream is good. This is unfortunately the only good thing i have to say about this place. The young boy who was serving couldn't have been less interested in serving, instead of playing on his iPad. The...coffee was awful especially the double espresso we ordered. This was probably partly due to him reusing the coffee he had used to make my partners cappuccino. However the cappuccino wasnt good either. It was made fresh but tasted like vending machine coffee. Would avoid at all costs.
Fantastic place with wonderful service. I went there on a cold novemberday and ordered the most delicious caramellapfel crumbs to take away and they threw in a separate container. beautiful staff and a beautiful business.
