Retro Fries - Perth

If you are looking to grab some fries, you won't be disappointed at this restaurant. The staff is quick and friendly, and the fries are cooked in well-seasoned oil, resulting in a nice dark color. However, if you're not a fan of this style of fries, then this may not be the place for you. As for the burger, we were very let down. The patty lacked flavor and had a soft, squishy texture that made us question if it was cooked properly (it was). Despite using real cheeses and melting them to create a nice cheese crust, the overall taste was lacking. It seemed like a store-bought frozen patty that was steamed rather than grilled. Additionally, the canned drinks were generic (PC brand), which was disappointing considering the high price of $1.50 per can.

We decided to try the Retro fries today as the Chipmonkery wasn't open...we will not go back...fries are huge and very dried out...the burgers were the biggest disappointment...not real burgers like Law and Orders or the Chipmonkery...the fake burgers...flat and minced...we couldn't eat them...we were very disappionted

Clayton's restaurant is wonderful. The fries are delicious, and the poutine is absolutely amazing. Their burgers, hot dogs, and other menu items are all great as well. The service is friendly and fair, and the food is tasty.

Great fries. OK....terrific, crisp, delicious, mouthwatering fries. Cheeseburger really good, too, with everything on it. You can add your own mayo if you like. Friendly staff. Set up right on the edge of town, their new location at Scotch Line and Gore is perfect. Mmmmmm good!

The fries are fantastic, the burgers are amazing, and the service exceeds all expectations for a fast food joint. I am eagerly anticipating the reopening of Retro Fries for the 2015 season in the spring.
