We chose to sit outside since the indoor seating isn't very private and feels a bit cramped. It was a lovely day, and surprisingly quiet for a Saturday. What Julie B doesn't like about El Nuevo Tarasco:
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. We were seated and received our drinks about 20 minutes later. Other guests who arrived after us were given chips and salsa right away, but we didn’t receive any until 30 minutes later. We placed our food order, and over an hour and a half later, only two people in our party had received their meals. Meanwhile, more guests were arriving and getting their food before us. Outdoor seating were upgraded a few years ago. huge part of guacamole. salsa good. enchiladas were nice. acceptable service.
Service and food was awful horrible will never ever return.. we sat for over 1 hr waiting for 3 rolls and one tostada ,while waiting we never once got asked if we needed refills on our drinks or chips and salsa while we waited. Once they started bring out our food it was one plate at a time waiting 10-15 mins before the next one came out. Had to remind the waiter we had ordered tostada and ended up canceling the last roll due to the long wait. Over all it was a horrible experience and I will. Not be returning
El Nuevo Tarasco never disappoints. I've been coming here for decades, whether for family gatherings or just to grab a meal. It's definitely one of my top three favorite spots in the city. I also love the recent upgrades they've made to the restaurant, and I would highly recommend the sushi bar as well.

We will definitely be back!

If you're short-staffed, don’t seat so many large parties at once. I will never come back and wish I could give this place a zero rating.
