La Puerta del Horno - Pereira

Easily the best salad I've had in Colombia. Tasty juice, great baked goods...I'm in love. Great prices too.

The best croissant in town without a doubt. I love the location of this tiny restaurant. It's a perfect place to sit outside enjoy a snack and the weather. Their coffee and tea are tasty and I love their unique sandwich croissants which are crafted with a unique culinary twist. The wifi is quite fast so it's a perfect spot to get some work done while enjoying a warm drink. The ideal definition of a café.

This place was close to our Airbnb which worked out great for us! They have a couple of vegetarian options (marked specifically on the menu) - I had the Fundido de la Huerta (mushrooms with cheese) along with the Pocket de Crema y vanilla - both delicious. Portions aren't big but the place is reasonably priced. Friends had the croissant philly and croissant indo sandwiches and enjoyed both. Accepts credit cards and one waiter speaks English which is always helpful.

The nice little sitting area outdoors is best. I had the eggs and cream cheese in a croissant a few times, really good. It's a bakery too so you can grab what you want to take home. People are friendly too.

This place opened near us recently. So far, we have bought croissant, sweet rolls, and have also eaten lunch here. The baked goods are superb for Pereira and the best we have found. Our lunch sandwiches were delicious and presented very well, Service is excellent. We only wish they had more offerings but suspect they will as they grow. This place is a winner. Highly recommended.
