We have visited Essential Grain Bakery on a number of occasions over the past few years, and again this month. We enjoy their different hot pie flavours, especially the Chicken and Camembert Pie. What User doesn't like about Essential Grain Bakery:
As a previous poster mentioned , hygiene practices here are a concern. I decided to buy bread here instead of Coles to "support local".... but not sure if that was a great idea. One employee was looking very ill, red nosed, standing behind the counter wiping her nose several times with a tissue and this was NOT followed by hand washing. It's one thing to go to work sick but another to pass on germs to customers. View all feedback.
There seems to be plethora of very average bakeries that exist amongst the Sunshine Coast region. They are way overpriced (sunshine Coast tax), minuscule in size, or other pasties that are nothing but pastry with little meat and veg. The pastie I got from this bakery filled 2 out of the 3 aforementioned categories, meaning it was small and overpriced and the meat VERY dry. I don’t mind paying a bit more for a quality product but the pastie was very ordinary
LOVED your fruit loaf!!! The most delicious fruit loaf I have ever tasted. Do you supply anywhere around the Gympie area? I so want to get my hands on more. Will stock my freezer on next trip to Kunara.
We have visited Essential Grain Bakery on a number of occasions over the past few years, and again this month. We enjoy their different hot pie flavours, especially the Chicken and Camembert Pie. They also have a delicious range of small cakes and slices which have always been fresh and tasty. The staff behind the counter have never been overly friendly which is a shame because the bakery is in an ideal position right outside Coles, and could be so much better and more friendly. Overall, their prices are a bit on the high side of average but there is no direct competition so they can charge what they like, but we will still go there when in the area.
I always enjoy getting a coffee and breakfast from Essential Grain Bakery. The staff are very welcoming and accommodating nothing is too much trouble for them. The coffee is great, and the toasties and pastries are delicious. Thanks to all the staff and bakers keep up the great work :
I usually don't do the review thing due to being in Hospitality industry, knowing full well how toxic they can be. However! After years of **** service and RUDENESS I personally will never be back in there. Having a premium product on offer requires a level of class and sophistication that just seems to be lost on the owner. This bleeds out to the staff as well. Why have an outlet like this if your going to just treat your customers in such a way that your going to alienate the ENTIRE suburb. Pretty much everyone I talk to in this industry and outside of it as well agree...
