Had the brisket plate with bacon/kartato salad and fried pimples w biscuit. Everything tasted great, but they didn't burn. But the waitress asked her to give me the most burned parts they had. You know, it's good if you don't need a sauce. View all feedback.
What GENO Francione doesn't like about The Blue Duck Bbq Tavern:
The Owner flat out lied to my face. Three of us walked in Thursday 5/30 at 8:15 pm. The owner was sitting at the bar and told us he was sorry but they closed at 8 pm. We asked why Google said they were open until 9? He told us that he was trying to get it changed on Google. As we we leaving I saw a sign on the door that said Last Seating 8:45 Tuesday though Sunday. Big shout out to the POS Owner that Lied to My Face. View all feedback.

Went here for dinner the other night. The place was great ... a little small on the inside, but overall very nice. I can imagine this place gets very busy on most evenings, so I'm sure they wish they had more seating too; we were there somewhat early in the evening and got right in. The food there were 3 in our party 1 had the Banh Mi brisket sandwich with bacon potato salad, brisket plate with elote and cucumber/tomato salad, and pulled pork plate with elote and fries. All of it looked and tasted great!! I would say the price was average for Peoria $15 $20/plate, and really was well worth it! So, if you are in the area, I would definitely recommend it. But, again, if you are limited on time, try to get there a bit early to avoid having to wait.
Amazing food and a wonderful atmosphere! This is definitely a must-visit place in Peoria. I absolutely love the setting by the riverfront train station.
