I went to breakfast and went from my usual Skillet breakfast, which is wonderful, and went with cookies and Gravy, because a friend says they are good. He was right, the cookies were tender and soft, and the severity was very tasteful with sausage pieces in it. They are usually very busy here, and that was no exception, but the waitress was very friendly and took her time with us. The only complaint was that I didn't... View all feedback.
What Richard Archdale doesn't like about Gebby’s Family:
(worked in restaurants a long time so i usually let alot slide) Been here three separate times, not sure why i keep coming back, the service sucks, servers pay us no attention, can hear them complaining about customers the whole time, took forever just to get our drinks, and the food seems to be a little less quality every time. Won't be back.
I had a fantastic dining experience! Even though I used to live in Peoria (I now reside in Kansas City), I had never visited this restaurant until recently when I was visiting my daughter and her family. She highly recommended it. I ordered the pork tenderloin sandwich with fries and a bowl of chili, and it was delicious! Our server was excellent, and everyone was incredibly friendly. Overall, a great experience!
I had a long wait, but it was worth it considering the price and quality of the food. My only complaint was that my server completely forgot half of my breakfast. While we were eating, I reminded her that I was missing a half order of biscuits and gravy. She returned 10 minutes later with the bill, which included the missing food. I asked her to remove it, and she did, but that was my only real issue. The eggs and sausage were fantastic; I just wish I could have tried more!
Fantastic family restaurant! The food is wonderful! My favorite dish is the skillet breakfast! My husband really enjoys the Hearty Breakfast because he has a big appetite! I'm also pleased that they offer turkey bacon and patties as alternatives to pork and beef!
The staff, waitress (Kim) and Bobby (Manager) were absolute tops. Every restaurant should have a Kim. Food came quickly and was very good. First time going there and will definitely be back. Everyone there seemed to know each other, and I even raninto someone I knew 20+ years ago. Felt like a small town diner. The biggest downside was the pancake tasted like it had beenmade on the same grill as something with garlic, peppers and onion. Back of house was good but may want to dedicate some grillsto specific foods.
First time visit for me, but have eaten next door at Schooners many times. My buddy Darryl and I decided to drop in after church services Sunday morning. The place was super crowded, but we were able to get seats at the counter right away. Took a good 45minutes to finally get our meals, but that was no big deal, since they were overpowered by the surge of customers. I was toldlater by one of the employees that it's this way every Sunday and Wednesday. This restaurant has been in the community for manyyears and evidently many people are very well pleased. If you are looking for something fancy you should keep on truck'n. Thisisn't a fancy steakhouse. Reminded me of the old Raedenes in Creve Coeur which closed years ago. No better neighborhoodrestaurant than Raedenes was. Anyway I had the biscuits and gravy with one scrambled egg. It was ok but nothing to write homeabout. My buddy was happy, since all he cares about is a cheeseburger, fries and Mountain Dew. He did like one waitress, sincehe tipped her 10 dollars and she wasn't even our waitress! I felt great dinning here, but many won't. They have a very steadyloyal customer base and God willing it will continue to grow.
