Big bold portions. This is the greasy spoon you've been looking for. Will kill any canal hangover. Must do in town.

We visited on a Sunday long weekend clearly a very busy time for everyone. The staff told everyone that it was busy and there might be a wait for the food because of a few large takeout orders. We've eaten there serval times and new it's worth the wait!!! We witnessed a large group getting impatient because of the wait and ended leaving after they were told their meal was up next. They paid for nothing and walked out. Well what happened next was priceless. Two ladies were seated in their seats and got the food that was ordered for the large group that left!!!! Everyone in our section all laughed and we all agreed Terrys food is fresh & delicious always worth the wait!!! Plus the ladies bought a gentleman who was celebrating his birthday Best breakfast ever!!!

I cannot recall another time where I/we have ever gone into a restaurant, waited patiently near a half hour for a table... to then be told it would be 45 minutes 'about' before we would get meals - because - 'we've been busy with take-out' . We looked around and realized that all the 12 other tables had no food on them, everyone slowly sipping orange juice to keep their sugars up. No thanks - and - no more. Tell people when they are waiting how long it will be.

Waited 30 minutes to be seated when there were several empty tables. As we were led to our table I noticed no one was eating, had eaten or had any semblance of food on their table. I asked the server what was up and she said they just had a lot of takeout and it would be another 40 minutes before we would be served.

The sign was a little hard to find but when we got there the service and food were top notch. We had grammas breakfast and they were excellent. People at another table had ordered a breakfast bowl and were sharing it. Smart idea, they were huge. Fast, friendly service. I would go back but make sure you are hungry.
