The afternoon tea was lacking content and... read more I am not affiliated with the Red Cross. Today we attended a fund raising function for the Red Cross in the Auditorium. The afternoon tea was lacking content and presentation and a refund should be given to the Red Cross. The Red Cross is a humanitarian organisation and for the Club to charge room hire for a less than satisfactory room is inexcusable. In spite of the poor venue and the inedible afternoon tea we can only hope that the St George Branch have made something to enable them to continue their path to help humanity. The reception staff are excellent.

The front desk staff are nice, but the bistro....don 't get me started. They have an Australian and an Asian menu; I have tried both. Unfortunately, they cannot... read more The front desk staff are nice, but the bistro....don 't get me started. They have an Australian and an Asian menu; I have tried both. Unfortunately, they cannot cook Aussie food that well, but the Chinese is pretty good. The bistro staff are also SUPER tight handing out salt/pepper or other extra condiments, and they charge for takeaway containers if you can 't finish the meal. My most recent visit, they got my order wrong and added something I 'm allergic to that I requested not to have. They put it in anyway, and when I said something the lady says we 'll just have the chef pick it out . Sorry, but that 's not how allergies work. Pretty poor service.
