Whiskey Joe’s Pensacola Beach On The Boardwalk

Went on a Saturday evening and the food was very good. We had oysters , Firecracker shrimp tacos and Blackened Chicken tacos. Our service was excellent and our server DJ had a great sense of humor and was very helpful when making our dinner selection. I would definitely recommend Whiskey Joes and hopefully you get DJ.

I am not a “Karen” by any means….i work in retail in a big box store….The lack of checking the food before it gets to the table? The gator nugget appetizer was good. I ordered two different beers and both were just about flat, no head and both were served in a dirty glass. Ordered the half rack of ribs. Plate was full of French fries and 5 ribs….ribs were good. Ordered a dish that had mussels and shrimp thought it was going to have a white wine sauce, but it was more like an Alfredo sauce and there were mussels that were partially open and holes in the shell. Not sure if they were checked if they were partially open before being cooked? We don’t take a chance and didn’t eat it. Dish also came with burnt pieces of bread, not toasted burnt. Maybe it was blackened toast? lol. Not a very good experience when the place was not busy at all. Sunday evening. I would not recommend eating here. A lot more places to choose from with better food. We gave the server a hefty tip knowing it wasn’t his fault …actually felt bad that he had to serve what he did….

We came in with a large group. The waitress was so sweet. She kept up with all our orders and was nice and pleasant!

I think the first clue we should have picked on was it’s the only restaurant that was pretty much empty. We ordered nachos with chicken. We had to dig to find a tiny piece of chicken. The nachos were stale. The atmosphere is nice but not worth it.

I have called this place 20 times in the last 2 hours and nobody’s will answer the phone, I don’t know why they even have a number attached on the website.
