Great food and friendly service from the guy we called Mr. Yummy, because he tells everyone, yummy, yummy, when he transfers your order to you. Not a huge menu selection in any way, but if you just want a good Teriyaki chicken and rice, with double meat, you will be disappointed. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Sarku Japan:
The service was bad. The line ran the opposite way from the order, you were expected to know exactly what you wanted and pay before you see something. She where in too much of a rush and rice was boiled, shrimp was cold and overall tasteless they have lied a lot on the Teriyaki sauce. Definitely not the same cooking as in North Virginia. I used to love coming here all the time but now it's almost like they never have sushi available, and my last online order was wrong once again. I LOVE their sushi I just wish they consistently had it! I literally would drive across town for their food. Now I wonder if the drive would even be worth it. Edit: CAME HERE AGAIN....NO SUSHI. Why have it on your menu if you NEVER WANT TO SERVE IT.
They will not refill your drink! They say it’s because of COVID but the place next to them refilled my cup from Sarku for free. Been eating at this place for years but I will never go back. Call it “safety” all they want, it’s just another way to rip us off!
I ordered through DD and it was completely cold and their policy is too only reimburse 1/3 what you paid... never again
Great value, got the beef bow box, the meat and rice were delicious, salad was ok, dumplings were ok, but I would not recommend sushi (California roll) it was dry and bland. That was all in the Bentobox. If I went back, I would only get the fried rice and meat, fill a standard to go to the edge for about $10.
