This restaurant always serves fresh and delicious food! I personally love the broccoli beef, while my husband enjoys the general chicken. The broccoli is particularly fresh and tasty. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Mr. Chen:
My partner and I decided to try this restaurant tonight after seeing some great reviews, but we were disappointed. I ordered the orange chicken bun and was disappointed that it had no orange flavor. The chicken was dry and tough. It was definitely overcooked. There were many fried pieces without any depth of flavor. My partner ordered the General Tso's chicken and had a similar experience. The quality of the chicken... View all feedback.
Served Hot, the tasty, ample portions were savory and for the price, the exceptional dinner selection was filling and flavored to perfection. This location is my new favorite place to get green pepper steak and onions. The inside of the business was clean, fully stocked of various drink choices you could choose from. The order didn't take long and the knowledgeable front of the house staff was friendly, efficient, and extremely professional. I will be returning for more
Mr. Chen is our family favorite in Pensacola/Bellview as a go to for excellent Asian-American/Chinese food! A family owned and operated restaurant with high standards of service, including the food always served hot and delicious, fresh ingredients, and they have the preparation time down to a science. You never have to wait too long if you walk in and the time they give for pick up is always correct. Some of our favorite dishes include the different Lo Meins, Moo Shu
The food was delicious but sadly they got our order wrong. My family asked for chow mein and we got a container of cabbage-based vegetables. It still tastes great though. I recommend getting the sesame chicken, it's delicious. The egg drop soup was really good too!
I ordered 4 pork egg rolls but what I received were filled with what appeared to be bacon bits and lots of cabbage, not pork. They cost $7 and were not worth it. I returned them right away and got my money back. I will not be coming back, as this is not how they used to be when they first opened. It's now a terrible place.
I ordered the sesame chicken with steamed rice and an egg roll at this restaurant. Unfortunately, the chicken was the lowest quality I have ever experienced in this dish. It was chewy, gristled, and made with dark meat and skin. This was the worst sesame chicken I have ever had in Pensacola. The sauce and crispy coating were decent, but they could not make up for the poor quality of the chicken. The egg roll was average and the steamed rice was also low quality. I have had better rice at Great China, where they use a higher quality rice that really enhances the dish.
