We have dined at Jackson's on many occasions and particularly look forward to the Tuesday evening prime rib special. Sadly, this week the prime rib was like cutting into and eating an extremely tough piece of low end beef. The food was awful, although the service was superior and the ambiance was perfect. We were quiet dissatisfied and shared our concerns with our waiter as we paid our bills in full. All three of us... View all feedback.
What francescof doesn't like about Jackson's Steakhouse:
Service was outstanding steak was overcooked whipped potatoes were chunky and lamb chops were also over cooked and had lots of fat best thing about the place was the bread and butter View all feedback.
Went to Jackson’s for the French 5 course meal night. Was VERY disappointed in the food. For the price it seemed like they cut a lot of corners. The soup was bland. The “melon salad” was just cut up melon with dry pieces of duck and the lamb was sub-par. Everything tasted like it had been made days before and was sitting in the fridge. Overall very disappointed in the meal for how much it was and how good the menu sounded.
It was nice. When the lobster gets cold it's very chewy!

We are hesitant to order this prime rib special again.
Nice food, great service. But the place smells like a gym sock. Old carpeted floors that must've flooded sometime. It is unbearable. I will never go back. In fact, I think it's a health hazard. Mold spores must be everywhere.
Where do I begin...if you want an exquisite dining experience, Jackson's Steakhouse in Pensacola, Florida, is a must. Make sure and make reservations, I promise you it is worth every penny. If you forget the reserved seating, there is limited seating at the bar (this is where my family and I ate). We enjoyed the bar seating. The bar tenders were fabulous and extremely attentive. My family and I are not the white linen type, but if you are...make sure to make reservations. Everything on the menu sounded fabulous, and I truly wish I could have sampled it all. Our family started with French Onion Soup and a Summer Salad. The soups were to die for, and the salad was delicately fresh and delicious. Warm homemade bread with whipped butter was also brought to the table and disappeared quickly. For our main meals, we ordered 8 oz Filet Mignons and 16 oz Delmonicos along with Hummus, Triple Cheese Mack n Cheese, Brussel Sprouts, Mushroom and Onions...the steaks are wet aged and cooked to perfection. The sides were melt in your mouth wonderful! For dessert we ordered Creme Brulee, Cheesecake, and Chocolate Mousse. We all left extremely satisfied and will plan on returning again when we are back in the area. I highly recommend this restaurant. Parking: Parking is street parking. This restaurant is located downtown Pensacola. I would recommend early or a later dinner for better parking. Kid-friendliness: This is a fancy, white linen kind of restaurant. We went as a family, but our children are teenagers. I would not recommend taking young children.
