I ordered a virgin drink at the restaurant, but was served alcohol instead. The server announced the alcoholic name of the drink when it was brought to me, despite my request for confirmation that it was in fact virgin. The staff seemed unsure but assured me it was non-alcoholic. I couldn't tell the difference due to the spiced apple cider flavor. At the end of my meal, which was overpriced, I was surprised to see that I was being charged for the alcoholic version of the drink. When I questioned this, I was told it was a mistake and that there was no alcohol in the drink. However, I felt sick for hours afterward. I doubt I will return to this restaurant.
I attended the Hocus Pocus brunch earlier today with a party of 7. Since we had reservations, we were sat immediately. The cafe itself was decorated very nicely and you could tell a lot of effort was put in to the decor and overall theme. We ordered thebiscuit appetizer and it was tasty. I also had one of the iced vanilla lattes and I thought it was quite good. I ordered thegarden hash as my main and it was simple but very good. However, not everyone in our party received their food at the same time. Our waitress was sweet, but she did seem pretty overwhelmed. Some people in my party had some issues with their food/service,but personally I had no complaints. After we paid, we noticed that we must have been charged a gratuity. We only wished thatthis would have been communicated to us prior. Overall, I would definitely be willing to come back and try Adonnna?s again!
This morning, we went to a Hocus Pocus brunch with a party of 7. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for the occasion. However, the service was lacking, which is why I am giving it 3 stars. The waitress was pleasant, but she seemed inexperienced for handling an event like this. She would come to the table multiple times but quickly rush away before we could ask for anything. Our drinks sat empty and she didn't offer refills. I only got a refill after I asked for it. Additionally, it is common for gratuity to be added for larger parties. However, it would have been nice if they had informed us about this beforehand. The lack of transparency on the receipt, which was not itemized, added to the suspicion. It felt like they weren't concerned about the poor service because they knew gratuity was already included.
This is a just fantastic! I truly enjoyed my visit and dining experience. Good quality ingredients, nice plate presentation, and very attentive staff! The food was delicious. It is very cozy and welcoming. Highly recommend visiting!
