This delightful little country restaurant has a simple and charming atmosphere, showcasing local artwork and large windows that offer a view of Main Street. I tried the fish tacos made with breaded cod, which were delicious, and paired them with a side of breaded shrimp and a refreshing raspberry tea. My friend opted for a classic hamburger and also found it to be excellent. The energy of Main Street was lively as pr... View all feedback.
What brad phillipe dislikes about Charly's:
I hate to complain about a local restaurant, but they auto charged a 20% tip on a call in order. This was on the ticket and was not wrote in. They even had a line that says extra tip. So my $14 sandwich cost $18.87. Tips used to be earned now they expect it. Might as well just include it in the price of the meal! The tip was not earned, but they will not get it again. Stopped in tonight and had the Chicken Alfredo. Super fast service, great side salad, and the meal was just right. Adorable and delicious. Will return to this little gem!

It was a sad day, but I know his with his mom dad in a much better place than this ? I was delighted to see a few cousins I had not seen in years meet their sweet wifes. We visited Charley's for lunch. My husband chose the mushroom burger with fries, while I opted for the chicken melt sandwich with onion rings. He said his burger was delicious, and I found the chicken melt to be fantastic! The staff was notably friendly as well. It's a wonderful place for people-watching! We will definitely return soon! UPDATE: The waitstaff was just as pleasant this time!
The most disappointing aspect of the meal, apart from the steep prices, was the cornbread. I received a version made by Charly, which looked a bit off when it arrived; it resembled a biscuit. When I broke it open, the inside had a more cornbread-like appearance, but the taste was definitely off. It seemed like it contained an excessive amount of flour. I later found out that the cornbread I received was Charly's and not the special for the day. The waitress inquired if any of the other cornbread was available, but unfortunately, it was all gone. What a shame, as it might have enhanced the otherwise lackluster soup beans.
Charly's is one of the best little diners around. The staff are always incredibly friendly and courteous. Be sure to try the messy sandwiches—they’re a must on the menu if you visit.
This restaurant is a delightful place to eat. The food is incredibly tasty, the homemade pies are outstanding, and the service is exceptional.
The ladies working at Charly's were very friendly and ensured our order was perfect. My mom had the mushroom Swiss burger with fries and said it was excellent. I enjoyed the soup beans, cornbread, fried potatoes, and fried pickles—everything was delicious. The decor is a charming blend of classic and cheerful, and I especially loved the vintage town photos. I highly recommend this restaurant!
