This restaurant is in the beautiful Nizuc resort. We were staying down the road at a condo, but came here for dinner. The pizza was great, as well as the pastas! Well worth the trip! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Terra Nostra:
We dined here on May 6th and we ordered, Chilean Sea Bass, Shrimp Scampi and Swordfish. The swordfish was undercooked and very tough so we did return it and requested another Chilean Sea Bass which was excellent. The shrimp was excellent as well. The service was outstanding as well. Unfortunately, I cannot give a good rating due to the location. The restaurant bumps up against a swamp and I have over 30 mosquito bite... View all feedback.
I travel over a million miles a year and dine all over the world. my “Going” is always Italian, no matter where I am. my wife and I discovered the resort nizuc in cancun 3 years ago when we were looking for a high-end resort that offered private pool villas. in our first night we have dined in terra nostra. I had great Italian cuisine all over the world, but what sets this restaurant apart begins with the combination of chef daniele and manager andrew. we became friends in the first night and finally became “family”. whether a visit or 20, they treat everyone like family! the menu is extensive and offers a large selection of fresh pastas, fresh seafood and great meat selection. the wine list is extensive and the deserts are to die. they offer both indoor and outdoor meals in a casual but elegant environment. this is also a very family-friendly restaurant, so bring the children and let them enjoy a tailor made pizza cooked from their oven! all waiters are incredible, starting with henry and christian, 2 of our favorites. I am not a person who demands the best, but I look for it, build relationships like family, appreciate the blessings of great food, service and friends. .and not even me on her Sunday brunch, the best secret in cancun! another day, another review! tell them, mr. stuker sent you!
We had a wonderful evening so much that my daughter thinks about getting married in the Nizuc resort and trusting the chef daniele with the preparation of the high-time meal. we ordered a series of dressed, from pizza to a very tasty parmigiana past lasagne. and salmon béarnaise. everything was excellent. the service was perfect and I found the quality price completely in mind. if they are in cancun and want an authentic Italian meal, it is the place.
The service was disorganized and unwelcoming. My appetizer-eggplant parmigiana-was poorly prepared. The eggplant was bitter and the dish was dominated by breading, not flavor. My pasta was Ok but at $30 you should be able to expect more. Overall, the place just feels off and...like a tourist trap. The space is beautifully designed but if you're going to spend $40-60 for an entree go to Indochine or dine outside the Nizuc resort.
From the amuse to the focaccia, salads and entrees, we highly recommend this Italian dining experience. The food was as good as anything we ate in Italy this past summer and possibly better!
