Restaurante Oceanario - Peniche

The only positive note is the veranda useless, poor service, but that the quality of the food really poor; squid sent back (probably leftovers from the day before), barbecued badly cooked and poor quality, of course even to say the price absolutely inadequate and to...make matters worse, it sent back the squid was put in bill.Really sad ... not recommended !!

We wanted to love oceanario. it has a wonderful location with views of the marina on one side and the old fortification on the other. it was a beautiful day and we were hungry from going all morning. the restaurant was only okay. the waiter seemed boring and was not very helpful. a large part of the menu was not available because the restaurant was prepared to turn off the winter and not to maintain its supplies. eating was useful, but the only thing that was excellent were the pommes, and they were great.

Quality of the food was good. View from the resturant was very good. I liked the cheese ommulate and chips. I didn't like the service which was indifferent. No bread was provided, and we had also to pay for the olives and spreads we didn't...order. Normally complementary in most resturants.

Nice staff, but a scandal about eating not so fresh fish that was cooked over a regrettable experience. not to hurry.

What more could you want. A lovely location in the heart of the fishing port. Great view to the Atlantic and the fort. The fresh grilled cod with potatoes and mixed vegetables was lovely. Priced well at €10. They have a few tables outside which...of course I nabbed one. Love the outdoors. Can't say enough good things about the service from the delightful manager in the photo. Nothing was a problem and he was so helpful with local knowledge. There's many cafes and restaurants to choose from in one block but I think this is the choice. Vicki Sydney Australia
