Not entirely sure why this has been rated so highly. It looks unimpressive and it is. Staff friendly and wine and beer fine but food is not good. Fish burger was only ok served with a portion of sad semi stale crisps. Cheeseburger was raw in the middle inedible. Portuguese steak was awful flaccid boiled steak served with crisps again. Yuk.

We came, saw 4 people sitting outside. We saw 3 employees behind bar, try to enter but they start to be rude and shout, so we left and we will never come back

Having had a brisk walk along the beach from our hotel we needed food. This beach cafe serves great food and was very busy. We ordered toasted sandwiches and omelettes which duly arrived and were all garnished with crisps. We had opted to sit outside and the only drawback is the wind you do have to hang onto your food!! Or eat quickly. A lot of people ordered large lunches of fresh fish, salad and burgers and these all looked amazing. If we had stayed longer in Peniche I am sure we would have returned. Service was quick and food was fresh. Even the waiter nearly lost food to the strong wind!
