I have no hesitation in recommending Abrigo do Pescador, one of the many restaurants in Peniche, for its quality and reasonable prices. The table service is great and the staff very friendly. My friend and I both had fish dishes—grilled mackerel and swordfish—which were delicious. The menu is diverse, featuring local cuisine, meat, seafood and fish, beautifully prepared. The restaurant staff were friendly but encouraged by an awful manager to rip off guests! We ordered house red wine but were charged for premium. We were offered items which were all added to the bill! Butter at €1:20 per portion! The fish stew was good. No finger bowls or change of cutlery! Not a great experience! View all feedback.
Lovely relaxed fish restaurant. Delicious very fresh fish and salad. Yummy wine and a great authentic experience. Highly recommend.
What a really nice place. The service was excellent. The food was great. We had a broad variety of fish, meat, and pork dishes along with dessert beverages and appetizers. The ten of us dubbed for$340 which was well worth it. I recommend any one in the area to eat here.
We found this restaurant last minute on crazy weekend in Peniche, Portugal. The food was second to none, lovely staff and one of the best red fruits sangria I ever had. Will recommend and will go again.
We paid 35 eur each and we were not allowed to paid card, apparently only national cards were accepted. shhdjsns sjdhsnnsnsjsjsjsjs
Wife's fish was good but my steak was rubbish with a load of watery pepper sauce thrown on top and the chips floating in the sauce. Waiting staff wanted to please but management hadn't a clue. Usually tip but not this time. Owner was in a bit hurry to close and told us to get out because he wanted to close at 10.30pm Place is just a cash cow for the owner and has no pride in his restaurant. I have no intension of returning as there are too many other places locally that appreciate your business.
