Reviews - Thai Crystal
Reviews summary
Nestled in Pendleton, this restaurant offers a mix of experiences for diners seeking a break from typical fast food. The atmosphere is calm and the staff exude friendliness and prompt service. Many have enjoyed standout dishes like the avocado rolls and vegetable yellow curry, garnished beautifully and bursting with flavor. However, some patrons found the spice levels underwhelming and certain drinks overly milky. Overall, while the cuisine showcases fresh, vibrant options, feedback suggests that service can be inconsistent during busy times. This eatery presents a welcome Asian alternative in a town dominated by grill fare.

Super cute restuarant! Kind servers and food came fast. The building is very beautiful on the inside, they did a great job decorating, and music playing was a good volume and sounded traditional. Food was delicious, the soup they had as an appetizerwas super good too! 1 star off just because they had limited drink options and the peas and carrots felt like they came from acan. I did enjoy my experience, and would totally come again!
The food is super delish. It?s centrally located, the food was clean and beautifully cooked as per spice level. The lady on the phone was very well spoken and polite. She was very cooperative and took the order very nicely and the food was cooked per everydetails asked for. Also the meat was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend this place.
Where to begin? The panang as made was outstanding! Perfect amount of rice to go with it. Had to sample the basil fried rice as well, and it was also super yummy (I love Thai basil and the slight black licorice taste). Pad Thai was tasty, but a littlesweet for my taste. We think a lime wedge and a little more peanuts would have done the trick. Red curry was delicious, also alittle on the sweet side. PadMee was a friend?s recommendation and it was a good one! PadMee is a great intro to Thai food ifyou?re unsure. Note: it?s also made from egg noodles, so gluten sensitive-beware! For several dishes, the green onions arechopped a little long for our taste. Spice levels are pretty standard for Thai restaurants in America. We think a 2 is wellspiced and you can still taste the food. Expect a normal heat level with their spice ratings. Bravo!
I would give this place 6 out of 5 if I could. I have no complaints. The cleanliness, atmosphere, service, and most importantly, the food were all top-notch. It is hands down the best Thai food I have ever had. Overall, a fantastic experience!
The food at this restaurant is incredibly delicious. It is conveniently located and the dishes are prepared cleanly and with beautiful presentation according to desired spice levels. The woman who took my order over the phone was articulate and polite, as well as very accommodating with my specific requests. The meat was cooked perfectly and overall, I highly recommend this establishment.

Had food delivered. Very, very good. Beef Garlic delight and spring rolls. Both excellent.
Food was delicious and fresh, service was great, very friendly. Will come back again Vegetarian options: We had the avocado rolls and the tofu spicy noodles and avocado green curry. All vegetarian!
Let me start by saying that the staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and provided prompt service. Additionally, the restaurant was decently clean and the atmosphere was calm. Onto the less desirable traits... I like to order on the spicy side, but their 3 was hardly more than black pepper. I ordered the Swimming Rama with tofu. The flavor of the sauce was decent, but several bites in and the thick part of the sauce was gone and my food was left in a watery peanut sauce soup. Not good. I also ordered a Thai tea, which was exceptionally milky without the typical Thai tea flavor. I didn 't finish my drink since I couldn 't stomach that much milkiness. Pricing was typical for this type of fare. While I was thankful for a non-burger option in Pendleton, I would not return to this restaurant. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options not labeled as such

We went there for dinner while we were on a road trip to Portland.Food was ok. Poorest service I have ever gotten in a Thai restaurant. Felt like we were ignored by the server. Other customers seem enjoying the food therefore the atmosphere is rated 3 otherwise it would be not 3. In overall, not recommended.
We were on a road trip and made a stop over to the area. We placed a takeout order for thai crystal chicken fried rice and Thai orange chicken with medium hot. There were plenty of food for 2, even the leftovers were enough for another meal. Foods are flavorful, plenty and tasty.
Fresh food, great portions, good value, what's not to like? Mild though, tell them If you want it spicy.
Very surprising that there is only ONE Mixed Vegetable dish that is vegetarian apart from Avocado Rolls. So nothing much for a vegetarian to eat. When asked if they could make the Basil Fried rice without the oyster sauce, the answer was a firm no, nothing could be changed because they are already made. The water they served was however good. : We left after sipping the water.

While visiting Pendleton, my husband and I chose to dine at Thai Crystal for lunch, and it was a wonderful surprise! The dishes were not only visually stunning with their vibrant colors, but they were also exceptionally delicious. The avocado rolls were garnished with a lovely carrot flower, and the vegetable yellow curry was packed with flavor. We highly recommend this restaurant! It's great to find such a fantastic dining option in a small town that mostly emphasizes barbecue.

Thai is one of my fave foods to eat. This place has a genuine original flavor that I look for. As a foody the flavor is what I am looking for. A good place for a family outing and the atmosphere inside is cozy.
I was very impressed with the quality, flavor, and quantity of food. The service was also great very friendly and happy feel throughout the whole restaurant. Thailand is known as 'The Land of Smiles ' and I really felt a slice of that when I was in there. The cashew beef was delicious and the beef was a quality steak like texture. Great flavor to the filling in the wonton. I also ordered a Thai iced tea and it was incredible and enormous. This meal is up there with the best I 've ever had, so I 'd say it 's definitely worth the stop if you 're anywhere near Pendleton. I will definitely be going back again as soon as possible!
