The Old Mill Harvester - Pencoed

We waited for a while before we were seated and it wasn’t busy. The service was quick and the waitress pleasant and obliging. The food we felt was below standard and we all left food. The bill was a bundle of confusion regarding Blue light discount. We assumed our lunch was £12.49 set price.! It was not if you applied discount. This was not explained to us and we went in search for an explanation. We all agreed we would not return

We were a table of four at 6:30 2nd Sept. The welcome we had and the service was outstanding. It was more memorable for me as my mum has recently died and the waitress had the same name. We ordered the drinks were delivered in no time by a very pleasant young person who joined in the banter. The order for the food was taken without any fuss and I have a difficult allergy but this didn’t faze the waitress. However when the food arrived the only plate that was perfect was mine. The other three plates the chips were cold on two and the mash cold on the third however their plates were too hot to touch. We didn’t complain as the chips and mash didn’t spoil the meals they had. However we did notice a few plates going back as the food was not hot. Next time I will make sure to feedback to the server at the time. Don’t let that put you off just speak out if the chips are cold.

First time I have ever eaten at this Harvester and was completely satisfied with my meal and the friendly warm welcome was an absolute added bonus. Thank you to the lovely Eira for looking after us so well. I will definitely be popping back for another meal as the food was very tasty and a great selection of choice on the salad bar. I’d highly recommend this place. Nice beer garden as well and the sun was shining at last

A lovely harvester easy to find and park. Had a little trouble with online booking but was no issue rang the restaurant and the guy we spoke to was so helpful. Great evening menu deals, the salad cart was all fresh and well stocked considering it was so busy and our food was beautiful we had a great evening. The lady Sarah who served us was so lovely she deserves a pay rise was rushed of her feet and still couldn't do enough for us

Meal for a group of 8 eating from the adult menu. Pleasant atmosphere. Menu is consistent with most Harvester restaurants. Food served quickly. Eirwen our server was extremely good, quick to respond and nothing was too much trouble. I raised an issue with two of our desserts which was resolved quickly and with no hassle.
