I started with the mushrooms on sourdough, wh... read more I dined at The Deck last Sunday and unfortunately left feeling unimpressed. The restaurant was uncomfortably cold. I started with the mushrooms on sourdough, which were quite enjoyable. However, my main course was a letdown; all the vegetables were served cold, and while the meat was warm, the only hot item on my plate was the roast potatoes, which were only heated because they were underneath the beef. When I mentioned the cold vegetables to the waitress, she merely offered to bring me more, but why would I want more cold vegetables? Waiting for hot ones would have meant the rest of my meal turned cold too. To make matters worse, when she came to clear our plates, she picked up mine—barely touched—and asked if everything was okay with my meal. This was the same waitress I had just complained to less than half an hour earlier. I left feeling completely dissatisfied.
