jian jian vegetarian (cnr lebuh mcnair and lebuh tye sin) is very popular with the local ... who tells them so much. go early to avoid the lunch break. everything is vegetarian (eggs can be added to certain dresses) most are vegan. everything is tasty... so it's worth looking outside. run by a beautiful lady (vegetarian for over 20 years), who explain to them daily specialties and they are through the buffet options.... Visit on 21 August 2017: Vegetarian versions of Authentic Penang hawker food. Cheap, flavourful and satisfying portions. Popular among locals, it was busy even on a Monday. Service was pretty speedy. Will definitely be coming back to try the other dishes, so 4 stars for now as I've only tried one dish.
This place is super busy and popular with locals. Offers veg version of many famous Penang noodles. However I'm not totally convinced the wheat noodles do not have egg... not sure. They also offer veg buffet for pretty cheap. However I prefer a bit less oil, everything is oily.
Tried many vegetarian food in Penang, this one is worth recommended as their food taste exactly like the famous original Penang food.
