Good honest pub grub with no airs or graces. We had a tasty and generous lunch for two, with two drinks came to £17.15. Fantastic value. So glad we called in on spec whilst retreating from St David’s were pub food was twice as expensive! View all feedback.
What andrewe225 doesn't like about The Wolfe Inn:
New owners and a new menu. Just had a fantastic Sunday lunch Pork Beef and Turkey available we opted for the Turkey. Came to the table only 10 mins after ordering piping hot included side dish of peas carrots cabbage mash new potatoes and mashed swede. Plenty already had turkey roast spuds parsnips and a Yorkshire pudding on it. A substantial meal for sure. Nicely cooked friendly staff and a pub that has been brighte... View all feedback.
Visited this pretty little pub for a drink and a bite to eat. We tried to book a table for 8 o'clock to eat, but was told to book it earlier so we booked for 7. As it was 6 already we took our drinks outside and decided to wait for food. We gave the assistant our mobile number as I could see that there were phone numbers next to bookings. She didn't seem that bothered. We had been outside about 30 minutes, when they rung us to say that they were cancelling our booking as they had decided to shut the kitchen early. The table next to us outside had food and all they did was complain about it. Can't comment on the food, but zero for customer service
We came here twice for food over Easter weekend. Both times we had incredible food. Its a lovely welcoming atmosphere and prices good too. Easter Sunday the roast dinner was incredible, thank you
Called in on the off-chance they could squeeze us in for Sunday lunch which they could and we were grateful but it went downhill from there. Firstly snapped at by a waitress for sitting at a table which she hadn’t wiped. We both ordered the beef and I tried to order dessert at the same time but was told our dessert order would be taken after we had finished our main meal. The food arrived quickly, the beef, broccoli and gravy was very nice however the roast potatoes were overcooked and rock hard, same for the Yorkshire Pudding, the side dish of mash and swede was ok but a bit sloppy. While eating we had the young lad behind the bar throwing empty glass bottles into the bin under the counter with an almighty crash making us jump! Our main meal was cleared away, the waitress walked past our table at least a dozen times but never once asked us if we wanted to order a dessert, we could have called her over I suppose but instead paid the bill and left. We wouldn’t visit again
Wonderful food this evening, very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Highly recommend and we will definitely be calling again soon.
